Privacy policy

This policy explains what information VoltPlayer collects when you use our app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. VoltPlayer is a media player only — we do not collect, store, or have any visibility into the content of the playlists you load.

1. What we collect

• Account & purchase data — email address, activation code, device identifier and payment confirmation (payments are processed by our payment provider; we don't store full card details).
• Device data — device model, operating system, app version, and a device/MAC identifier used to lock your activation to your device.
• Usage data — basic diagnostic and crash data to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
• Support communications — anything you send us via the contact form or email.

2. What we don't collect

We do not see, log, or store the playlists, channels, or streams you add to the app. Your M3U link or Xtream Codes login is used locally on your device to fetch content directly from your provider — it does not pass through or get stored on VoltPlayer servers beyond what's needed to keep it synced to your activation.

3. Cookies & similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies:

• Essential cookies — keep you logged into your reseller dashboard and remember basic site preferences. These can't be switched off, as the site won't function properly without them.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are useful and where visitors drop off, using aggregated, non-identifying data.

We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell data to ad networks. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies being blocked may affect login functionality.

4. How we use your information

• To activate and license your device.
• To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
• To send essential service communications (e.g. renewal reminders, security notices).
• To improve app stability, performance and the website experience.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the activation system.

5. Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers who help us run VoltPlayer — payment processing, hosting, analytics and email delivery — under agreements that require them to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep account and activation data for as long as your license is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for support and legal purposes. You can request deletion at any time — see section 8.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage using a strong, unique password for your reseller or account login.

8. Your rights

9. Children's privacy

VoltPlayer is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
