How to Install VoltPlayer on Firestick (Setup Guide)
VoltPlayer runs natively on Amazon Fire TV and Firestick. Here's the full setup, from install to your first channel.
Step 1: Install VoltPlayer
On your Firestick remote, press the Home button, open the Find or search icon, and search for VoltPlayer. Select it and choose Download / Get. Once it finishes installing, select Open.
Step 2: Activate your Firestick
The first time VoltPlayer opens, it will show an activation code on screen. On your phone or computer, go to voltplayer.com/activate, sign in to your VoltPlayer account, and enter that code. Your Firestick will activate automatically within a few seconds — no typing required on the remote.
Don't have an account yet? You can create one and start a 7-day free trial before activating — no payment required to try it out.
Step 3: Add your playlist
Once activated, open Settings on the Firestick app and select Add Playlist. Choose M3U and paste your playlist URL, or choose Xtream API and enter your provider's server address, username, and password. VoltPlayer will load your channels, movies, and series automatically.
Step 4: Set up the essentials
From Settings, you can also:
- Add more playlists if you use more than one provider
- Turn on Lock MAC / device so nobody else can reset your playlist without your PIN
- Set up parental controls to hide or lock specific groups and channels
Playback tips for Firestick
VoltPlayer supports 4K HDR playback with hardware-accelerated decoding on Firestick 4K models, provided your playlist source supports it. If a channel stutters, it's almost always the playlist provider's stream or your network — VoltPlayer plays exactly what it's given.
